The HAZMAT Chemical Spill Response training course is designed to assist employers with employees who handle and store Dangerous Goods in the workplace or on location.

Students who pass this unit standard will be able to correctly identify the presence of a hazardous materials incident and make the necessary precautionary measures. The learner will gain a skill essential to a career in fire fighting and will be in a position to protect him/herself and the public in dangerous or hazardous situations.     The Convey of Dangerous Goods by Road training course meets the requirements of Chapter V and Chapter VIII of the National Road Traffic Act, Act 93 of 1996 for dangerous goods drivers.

    This course teaches students about safe loading, conveying and off-loading of dangerous goods according to legal and organisational requirements. Qualified learners can convey dangerous goods in accordance with legal, safety, manufacturer and other relevant requirements and safely handle incidents if they occur. The DG certificate is required for Category “D” Professional Driver’s Permit applications, and is approved and accredited by the National Department of Transport and all Licensing Authorities across South Africa.

      The Dangerous Goods Qualified Person training course is aimed to meet the needs of employers with employees who load or off-load Dangerous Goods in the workplace or on-site.

      Qualified individuals with this unit standard is capable of, conforming to standard operating procedures and applicable requirements of South African National Standards 10231 for the loading/unloading of packaged goods and bulk, identifying required placards, tremcards and dangerous goods declaration, conforming with standard operating procedures and South African National Standards 10231 after loading/unloading of dangerous goods and conforming with contents of operational agreement.

          Our Dangerous Goods Handling & Awareness training course meets the needs of employers with employees who work with and store Dangerous Goods in the workplace.

          Students credited with this course is able to describe the information, training and duties of persons exposed to hazardous substances and risks, as well as knowing the responsibilities of both employer and employee in such situations.

          Students will be able to identify hazardous substances by product and company, the procedures required to handle them, the risks and dangers associated with hazardous substances and the methods of dealing with exposure to them. They will also be able to explain the production, processing, use, storage, handling or the transport of hazardous substances, as well as dealing with compliance and non-compliance challenges.
